Conax targeting Latin America for expansion of security hosting model
CAPER, Buenos Aires, October 29th, 2009: Conax, one of the top three security providers for digital TV and content distribution world-wide, has announced it is planning to launch its security hosting model, already successful in Europe, in Latin America. The security hosting model, geared towards all segments, provides TV operations with an easy way to “go digital”. Through the Conax model, approved hosting partners are able to offer full-scale security advantages at favorable pricing models to smaller operators, regardless of size or location.

Conax is an established content security leader in Latin America whose footprint already includes a network of strategic local partners. The company is looking to establish regional hosting partners to offer smaller TV operators affordable state-of-the-art content security and shared centralized costs. In addition to a comprehensive partnership with Conax, approved hosting partners will be able to further leverage their product and service portfolios for operators of all sizes.
According to Conax, over 100 million subscribers are connected to smaller sized TV platforms globally. Operators of analogue platforms are not able to meet the market expectations created by digital TV services. Conax provides a partner solution for small networks to both “go digital” and secure their content – an option previously too costly for many operators.
