Conax AS and Iwedia Technologies cooperate to offer interactive services with high level of security to digital broadcasters around the world
Conax AS, a leading supplier of state-of-the-art conditional access solutions for digital TV, is pleased to announce its cooperative relationship with Iwedia Technologies, an international provider of embedded software solutions for digital TV devices, to integrate Iwedia's Comedia DVB middleware with Conax's CAS7 conditional access system.

This integrated solution will give digital TV service providers the ability to offer their subscribers many popular interactive services which are proven to increase revenues, in a cost-effective way.
Conax CAS7 is an end-to-end conditional access solution for protection of Digital TV premium content. The solution is built on Conax's strong security technology platform and long experience and is a key business enabler for operators seeking to maximize revenues. Conax CAS7 can be tailored to system operators' specific needs and implemented cost-effectively with minimal upfront investment. The product is compliant with open standards such as MPEG2/MPEG4, DVB SimulCrypt and Common Interface, OpenCable™, OpenCAS and DOCSIS.
Iwedia's Comedia is a complete middleware platform for Pay-TV Set-Top Boxes. Comedia gives support to a wide range of value-added operator-oriented features: TV Portal, one-way enhanced TV services, Electronic Programme Guide (EPG), Personal Video Recorder (PVR), Digital Media Adapter (DMA), Over-The-Air (OTA) software updates, Pay-Per-View (PPV) and Impulse Pay-Per-View (IPPV).
The integrated solution from Iwedia and Conax enables secure digital TV programming with interactive services. Both companies offer non-proprietary and open solutions via all kind of networks, thereby giving customers the freedom of choice in technology.
