Conax and Ortikon Interactive team up for total VOD system provision
Conax, a leading supplier of state-of-the-art conditional access solutions for digital TV, is partnering with Ortikon Interactive, a Finnish company specializing in interactive television service management and middleware solutions, to offer full Video-on-Demand solution and system integration with freedom-of-choice for Third Party system components.

The target market includes both traditional DVB and broadband IPTV distribution. Video-on-Demand (VoD) Service enables operators to offer their subscribers premium content as pay-per-view, subscription or a combination of these business models. The offer can include movies, television series, sports, educational and other on-demand content.
Conax is the supplier of conditional access solution for content protection, while Ortikon provides over-all management of the VoD services. This includes metadata and service management in the operators' end, and also the easy-to-use user interface at the subscriber side. Thus the solution manages VoD from operator to subscriber. It authenticates the subscriber, distributes video portal and video links, delivers video for the subscriber, secures the delivery and handles the connections to the subscriber management and billing systems.
