Conax gains ground in China through its strategic partnership with STAR
Conax AS, a leading supplier of conditional access technology for digital TV, signed a strategic partnership agreement with Star Communication network technology Co. Ltd. (STAR) in March this year for promoting the marketing and sales of Conax’s products in the Northern parts of China.

This month Conax signed the second contract in China through this fruitful partnership.
STAR is one of the largest and most influential large-scale system integrators in the Chinese market, selling system solutions to the Chinese cable operators. Since March they have also acted as Conax's strategic partner in the market, promoting and selling Conax's conditional access technology to cable operators in the Northern provinces of China.
In July STAR signed a Conax CAS5 contract with the Broadcasting and TV Center of Shengli Oil Field. Shengli is Chinas second largest oil field and their TV Center operates an employee- and corporate cable network with 140,000 homes connected. This month STAR signed another contract with Binzhou Broadcasting & TV network Company (BBT) of the Shandong Province.

With the contracts with BBT and the Broadcasting and TV Center of Shengli Oil Field they have confirmed that they can do an excellent job also with selling Conax's products in China", says Øystein Larsen, Chief Representative & General Manager, Conax Shenzhen Representative Office.
